We appreciate your interest in Saint Leo University's Graduate Programs. As you explore continuing your education, costs need not be an obstacle. With the financial aid programs available, there are ways to help you finance your educational expenses.
It may be helpful to know that there are Federal Student Loan Programs for Graduate and Professional Students:
- Graduate students are eligible for up to $8,500 in subsidized Stafford Loans per academic year from a bank, a savings and loan association, or other lenders who participate in the program. The loan will have a variable interest rate not to exceed 8.25%. Repayment begins six months after you graduate or drop to below half-time status. In order to qualify for this program you must demonstrate financial need; be enrolled or accepted for enrollment on at least a half-time basis; and show satisfactory academic progress. You must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
- Graduate Students who do not demonstrate financial need to borrow funds are eligible for up to $18,500 in unsubsidized Stafford Loans minus any approved Subsidized Stafford amount. The loan will have a variable interest rate not too exceed 8.25%.
Applying for financial aid is simple at Saint Leo University. The only application you need is the Free Application for Financial Aid.
